First 815C commissioned by Suretech for VSBL project

An ICE 815C Vibratory hammer was successfully commissioned at M/s RELIANCE – ASTALDI Joint Venture in Mumbai. This joint venture was awarded an engineering, procurement and construction contract of The Versova–Bandra Sea Link (VBSL). The 815C will have a key role in the foundation of this bridge.

The Versova–Bandra Sea Link is an under construction bridge in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. The 17-kilometre bridge will connect Versova, a neighborhood in the suburb of Andheri to the Bandra-Worli Sea Link in Bandra, as part of the Coastal Road. The Great Mumbai Coastal Road is an under construction 8-lane, 22.2-km long freeway that would run along Mumbai’s western coastline connecting Marine Lines in the south to Kandivali in the north. The Coastal Road is projected to be used by 130,000 vehicles daily and is expected to reduce travel time between South Mumbai and the Western Suburbs from 2 hours to 40 minutes. The sea link is expected to reduce congestion on the Western Express Highway and the Western Line of the Mumbai Suburban Railway. This is first of the 815C vibratory hammers delivered to Inda for the VSBL project commissioned by Dieseko Group’s dealer Suretech.
