The foundation element consists of two parts: a hollow outer jacket with large fins, and a movable anchor tube. For this application a vibratory hammer clamp was designed that can grip both parts of the pile.
Outer casing
First, the outer casing is attached to the vibrator with two chains. Next, the pointed anchor tube is placed in the desired position and the outer casing is lowered around the anchor tube. This anchor tube is clamped by the vibrator first and then vibrated into the ground until the square flange on the outer tube touches the lower clamping section.
Outer tube
Now the outer tube can be positioned to the correct position by hand. Next, the clamping arms are closed around the flange of the outer tube. Now both tubes are vibrated together to the correct depth.
